Aspect School - Welcome Packs

Starting school for the first time is a huge change for any child but even more so for children on the autism spectrum. It can be a time filled with stress and anxiety felt not only by students transitioning into kindergarten but for their parents as well.

Aspect schools receive over 100 new enrolments every year. To help generate more excitement and ease some of the nervousness, we would like to create fun and uplifting Welcome Packs. These packs will help introduce new students to the world of 'big school' in a supportive and positive way before they start their new exciting adventure as part of our Aspect schools. 

The Welcome Packs will consist of some essential pieces to make the transition easier including autism-specific sensory, wellbeing and calming items, a visual story which contains information to help explain the changes, information for parents to ease their concerns, as well as some lovely practical items such as an Aspect branded school bag, drink bottle and lunchbox.
