We as parents have minimal advocacy and awareness within the communities of Northern Peninsula Area, Cape York. We have all the support and resources available to through medical specialist and professional but not enough awareness around how and why autism should be acknowledged, accepted and recognised to provide and maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for them to thrive and for families to feel supported when in the communities. 

This Christmas, I’m shining bright for the estimated 1 in 40 Australians on the autism spectrum.
