How do I create or join a team?

add remove

If you're teaming up with others in your community to support Shine for autism and you are all signing up, you can create (or join) a team to stay connected. You'll still fundraise through your individual fundraising page, but the contributions will also be reflected on your team page. This way, as a community, you can track your collective progress and see what you've accomplished together. You'll be asked when registering if you'd like to create or join a team.

Are there any costs to register?

Shine for autism is free! There are no registration costs, but we encourage everyone to make the first donation to their fundraising page. This helps to kick-start your fundraising efforts and motivates others to start supporting you.

We understand and appreciate the diversity within the autistic community, including the sensory sensitivities that many individuals experience.

Our 'Shine for autism' campaign aims not only to raise funds but also to foster greater understanding and inclusivity.

We involved individuals on the autism spectrum in our decision-making to ensure we're inclusive in our approach and have developed a guide to creating autism-friendly light displays, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the festivities comfortably.

We will email and post to you a Shine for autism poster (with a QR code to your fundraising page) when you sign up. We suggest displaying it prominently, like on your front fence or shop front window, to raise awareness and encourage donations. Get creative—the more visible it is, the better the community support you'll attract.
